Org chart

v1.9.2 · updated 3 august 2026

A reporting structure drawn from the manager field in Entra ID, so the chart is correct without anybody maintaining a diagram.

plate 01before you install

Before you install

A SharePoint Online tenant and an app catalogue, plus a manager field populated in Entra ID. The chart is only as accurate as that field, and a tenant that never sets it will render a flat list.

A SharePoint administrator to approve the permission request.

Org chart reads the structure and draws it. It does not write back, so it cannot be used to correct a reporting line, and any change has to happen in Entra ID.

Questions

What if the manager field is empty for some people?

They appear as unassigned rather than being dropped, which makes the gaps visible instead of hiding them.

Can it start from the signed in user?

Yes. Set the root to the current user and everyone sees their own part of the structure.

How large a structure can it draw?

It loads one level at a time as branches are opened, so a tenant of any size stays responsive.

Can we print it?

Yes. The expanded chart has a print layout that fits the visible branches onto a page.
